A Special Note of Appreciation
I am most grateful to my Son, Eddie for his words of encouragement to push through the pain and his reminders that God has blessed me with many talents and now wine-making has been added. Just hearing "You got this Mom and I'm proud of You" meant the world to me!
My deepest thanks to Hal Bell of Bacchus Winery, who simply suggested “why not make your own wine? I’ll teach you”—planted a seed that God intended for me to nourish and grow. His teaching, mentorship, and supportive belief in my ability—especially during a time when I was physically limited—reflect not only his excellence as a winemaker but also his teaching gift.
This journey would not have been possible without my sister, Minister Nana, who stepped into the vineyard of faith with me. Because the training required two participants, she joined me wholeheartedly. Together, we learned, we grew, and we crafted exceptional wines—while transforming our lives as we flourished in God’s spiritual vineyard.
Along the way, I met Reverend Gabby Russum, a newbie wine enthusiast whose heart was also set on sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ through the art of winemaking. What began as a shared class has blossomed into a lasting sisterhood in Christ, and our journey continues still.
My sincere appreciation also goes to my team of Helpers---Reverend Calvin Spratley, Minister Sandra Kalombo, David Russell, Jeremy Sallee, Sterling Brown and my son, Eddie Jackson, for their steadfast support and hands-on help through various stages of this endeavor.
To my family, friends, classmates, wine experts, and leaders who experienced parts of this growth season with me—thank you for enriching the journey and adding your wisdom, laughter, and presence along the way.
Truly, it takes a team—a vineyard village—to bring something wonderful to life for the glory of God.
Above all, to God be all the glory. None of this would have been possible without His divine plan, guidance, and grace. Every grape crushed, every barrel filled, and every moment of learning was orchestrated by His hand. After-all, His Son Jesus led by example and turned water into wine in Cana!
